Our Story

MalwareFox started because every antivirus we tried had the same problem: it acted like it owned your computer. Popups demanding attention. Background processes eating RAM. Quiet data collection buried in a 40-page EULA. We wanted protection that stayed out of the way — and couldn’t find it. So we made it.

Over a decade later, that frustration still drives every product decision. We partnered with K7 Computing to integrate their enterprise-grade detection engine — the same core technology that scores 99.3% in independent testing by AV-Comparatives. We paired it with a lightweight interface that uses less memory than a browser tab.

We’re a small, self-funded team. That’s intentional. No venture capital means no pressure to monetize your data. No board of directors means no one pushing us to add features you didn’t ask for. The only people we answer to are the people using our software.
